Steve McKnight

Living a double life as both a musician and a personal trainer is a dream. For years, I pursued playing music with all my passion, but after a lifetime of being overweight and dealing with back aches and joint pain, enough was enough.

I attended Slippery Rock University for my double degree in Music Performance and Music Education, then moved to Quebec and received my Masters in Jazz Performance from McGill University in Montreal.

Studying trumpet from John Gillespie, Dr. Stephen Hawk, Jack Schantz, Kevin Dean, Joe Sullivan - I've come to love classical and jazz with equal passion. Later in life, playing with bands like the Balcony Big Band, No Bad JuJu, Orchesta Tropical, Azucar and greats like Bernadette Peters, The Temptations, The O.J.'s, Phil Woods, Sean Jones and many more has opened me to the love of even more great music.

As a trainer, I am certified through N.E.T.A. and work at various gyms teaching my own creation BodyBlitz, which is based on the Primal/Paleo bodyweight fitness that I've come to understand is vital to our healthy and quality of life. I coach people across the country on fitness and nutrition for Beachbody, and do in-home personal training with my own company KnightFit.
